I started making websites in 2005 with one that was called: Living in Thailand but in my native German language. It was quiet successfull and I got a lot of positive Feedback from my readers. So in 2006 I made another one, this time about the Living in the Philippines, once again only in German language.
What you see now here in front of you, is more or less the English translation of my German site which you can find here!

This site is not really made for those individuals, beeing sent to the Philippines by some big international companies as supervisors and managers and who want to stay in expensive condos in the bigger cities, but for those who would like to retire, live and maybe work in the Philippines, more or less on a low budget.
There are other websites about Living in the Philippines in the web, but mostly suited only for retired Americians who would like to blow their pensions here. This site is supposed to be for people from countries all over the Globe who would like to live in the Philippines.

Living-in-the-Philippines.com should give you all available information about the Living or working in the Philippines from my own experience, the right Visa for the Philippines and important information on how to find a house or other place to stay in the islands.
In some cases I will compare the Living in the Philippines with the Living in Thailand, where I lived for over 10 years, before I moved to the Philippines with my wife in 2002.

Last not least I may have to apologize for my English, I am not native English so I translated everything to the best of my knowledge and I hope it's readable for you. If you find serious spelling mistakes, just keep them for you and don't tell anybody...

This website was started and is up to date since August, 1st, 2009!
